Fabio Pellizzari to Become New Head of Index Solutions in Asset Management at Zürcher Kantonalbank
Media information 14. November 2025
Fabio Pellizzari (49), Head of the Sustainability division "ESG Strategy & Development," will take over the leadership of the Index Solutions division in Asset Management at Zürcher Kantonalbank at the beginning of April 2026. He will succeed Didier Böckli, who has decided to take early retirement at the end of March 2026.
"With his extensive experience in product strategy and business development in leading positions, Fabio Pellizzari is the ideal choice for this role. As Head of ESG Strategy & Development, he has played a key role in advancing the development of the Swisscanto Responsible Index Funds as well as the sustainable ETFs launched this spring," says Iwan Deplazes, Head of Asset Management at Zürcher Kantonalbank.
Fabio Pellizzari looks forward to his new role with great confidence: "I am very excited to take on the responsibility for the Index Solutions division. The starting position is ideal, and the solid foundation provides excellent opportunities to realise new growth initiatives. Together with the highly motivated team, I will do everything I can to continue this successful path."
Under the leadership of Didier Böckli, the Index Solutions division has evolved since 2010 from an ambitious idea into a cornerstone of Zürcher Kantonalbank's Asset Management. With his visionary foresight and strategic acumen, the Index Solutions division has grown to become Switzerland's second-largest index provider, managing assets of over CHF 185 billion (AuM).
"Didier Böckli's ability to identify trends early and translate them into successful solutions has been instrumental in elevating the bank's investment business to a new level – both in terms of processes and product innovation," says Deplazes.
Fabio Pellizzari has been with the Asset Management division of Zürcher Kantonalbank since 2020, where he has been responsible for the development and implementation of the sustainability strategy across all asset classes as Head of ESG Strategy & Development. Before joining Zürcher Kantonalbank, he worked for more than twelve years in various roles at RobecoSAM and Robeco, most recently as Head of Strategic Product Management for the group. He holds a Master of Arts in Business Administration from the University of Zurich, specialising in Technology and Innovation Management. Prior to his studies, he held various positions at Schweizerischer Bankverein and Bank Julius Baer.
The recruitment process for Fabio Pellizzari's successor will commence shortly.
